My students are quite similar and quite different to students in Canada. The students in the Gulf region usually wear their national dress, the Thobe, Ghutra, and Egal. The occasional student will come to class in jeans or even shorts but it's a rarity. They are also much more respectful than North American students can be at times.
They are also very similar to students in Canada. During a class in the Shop where PPE was required, I said I wanted to take a class photo. That's when the posing began and the safety glasses were replaced with the fancy sunglasses.
I guess they have that in common with students in Canada too. They make you smile and feel positive about their accomplishments a lot more often than they inspire any negative thoughts.
